
This shows the underneath of the floor, which had approximately 8 hours
of sealer removable followed by a buffing with an angle grinder-mounted
wire brush. The main seams were then welded as shown. It was deemed necessary
by Mick to remove all the underseal as it causes spit backs and also looks
very unsightly when it blisters off. In addition the action of the welder
and the fierce heat produced tends to create salts, which trap moisture
and cause rust underneath the underseal. |
